创设课堂教学主线,提高学生阅读兴趣

总所周知,对小学英语而言,阅读课是最没激情的课,老师要把更多的时间留给学生阅读,就无形中使得课堂气氛略显沉闷。对于活泼爱动的小学生来说,沉闷的课堂是对他们学习兴趣最大的打击。深入教材,我尝试着把阅读课设计成故事,找一个故事,用一根主线贯穿整节课堂,或许能有意想不到的收获呢。
下面展示的是我对PEP小学英语六年级上册二单元Where Is The Science Museum? A Let’s read的教学设计,把这篇阅读课设计成Mike要去鞋店买鞋,路上该怎么走。同时插入一条故事主线:学生们都熟悉的动画人物朵拉想和Mike一起去,如何能找到Mike。
一:目标要求
知识目标:能够理解并能复述对话,能够完成练习。能理解How can I get to the hospital?这句话,并作出回答。
能力目标:理解阅读的要领,能带着问题读短文,找出涉及问题的关键句子。
情感目标:小朋友之间要互相帮助,一起努力才能完成任务。
二:重点难点
重点:能够听说认读Let’s read部分的对话。
难点:能理解运用指点路线的新语言。

四:步骤
Step 1:  Warming-up
一:T:Boys and girls ,what’s your hobby?
Ss: I like singing. I like reading. I like drawing. I like dancing…
T: I like dancing too, now let’s try to dance together, OK?
播放《兔子舞》旋律,“Left,left,right,right,turn a round ,go go go …”师生一起跳。
(活跃的气氛中开始上课,环节学生紧张情绪,复习单词left、right,为这节课 turn left、 turn right的学习做准备。)
二:
   T: Look at the map, what can you see in the map?
   Ss: Library、bookstore、cinema、post office…
   T: Where is the cinema/library/museum/…
   Ss: It’s near/next to the…
(此部分复习几个名词,同时重点复习near和next to,为文中学生介绍路线降低难度。)
三: 
   T: I see, you have did very well, now let’s chant, try to follow.
   Ss say the chant.
(此段chant包含next to、go straight两个介绍路线的重点词语,同时能培养学生的英语节奏感。)
Stap 2:Preview  
一: 
   T: Let’s come back and see the map. Look, here is the school. How do you go to school?
   用动画展示各种交通工具,汽车、自行车……
   Ss: I go to school by bike /by bus /on foot…
   T:I go to school buy bus. But how can I get to the school? Do you know?  
   引出本课重点句型。
二: 
   T: Look, I can take the NO.2 bus, get on the bus. Then go to school. Then get off at the school.
  T: Do you know “get on、 get off”? 
   通过多媒体,学生能猜出两个词语的意思,然后让学生通过一个有趣的活动加深对两个词的印象
  T:Now I say “get on”, you do like this.(往前走一步)And I say “get off”, you do like this.(往后走一步)。
    学生练习两个词组。
  T:How can I get to school? OK,now, you can try to answer. 
(从问学生Where is the school?到How do you go to school?再到How can you get to the school?层层递进,复习旧知识,又引出本课要学的内容,并且渗透问题的简单回答。)
Stap3:presentation
一:T:Look, school is over! Chen Jie and Mike are talking. What are they talking about? Let’s see.
图片上出示What are you going to do?   I want to …
T:Read quickly and silently. Try to find out the answers.
What is Mike going to do? 
Where's the shoe store?
学生默读课文并找到答案:
Ss: He is going to buy a pair of shoes.
It's next to the hospital.
(学生快速阅读短文,从中找出有价值的信息,训练学生的快速阅读能力)
二: T: Dora also want to buy shoes. She can go with Mike. But how can Dora find Mike ?
此问句和本课重点句型相似。出示一张地图,首先穿过一座桥,然后打开一扇门,然后就能看到Mike 了.引导学生回答:
1,Go through the bridge. 2, Open the door. 3, She can find Mike there.
 (引入本课教学主线,增强本课的故事趣味,同时进一步渗透重点句型的教学。)
三:  T: But look, the bridge is broken. How should Dora do? OK, don’t worry, try to answer some questions, and then, the big bird can help you.
 1: T: Read again. Finish the sentences.
You can go by the(    NO.301       )bus .
Get off at the(    cinema      ) .
Then walk straight for (    three     ) minutes. 
The hospital is on the(    left  ) .
 2: T: Read the third time. 
Finish the blanks in your books.     
 
四: 问题答完了,大鸟把桥修好了,朵拉过了桥来到一扇门前
  T: But Dora can’t open the door. How should she do? Don’t worry, do some practice , may be the door will open.
   
  T: Look ,I’m at school. How can I get to the hospital? Talk with your partner.
  Ss: Go by the NO.301 bus.
Get off at the cinema.
Then walk straight for three minutes.
The hospital is on the left.
让学生自己来说,多练习几遍,同时可以加入一个小游戏,学生分两组选代表,两组的代表同学剪子包袱锤,赢得这组同学齐读一个句子,这组的代表可以走一步.先到达hospital的一组获胜.
 (游戏中增加学生的学习兴趣,同时增加学生对句子的练习)
练习完后听课文录音,跟读.
五,练习完了,门打开了,朵拉找到了Mike,学生一起说一下他们去shoe store的路线。
学生说的同时,老师在黑板上用图画板书路线
练习完后可以让单个同学看着图画进行课文的复述.
(练习分为了两部分,先是学生看着句子练习,然后是离开句子看着图示练习,让学生能更好的掌握本课重点。)
六:拓展:在图上看
T: How can they get to the museum? 
Ss: Go by the No.302 bus. Get off at the school. The museum is on the left.
(拓展练习让学生更好的理解了How can you get to … ?这句话的回答。达成知识和能力目标。)
Setp4: Homework
Tell your friend “How can Mike get to the hospital?”
五:课后反思
Let’s read是PEP小学英语高年级教学的重要课型,目的是让学生通过生动活泼的情景学习知识,扩展语言知识面,提高学生阅读理解能力。本课用一个生动形象的动画场景,让学生尽可能的在紧张和愉快的环境中学习语言知识,用一个故事主线贯穿全文,提高了学生的语言运用能力,同时又培养了学生的合作互助能力.
在这节课中,还有一些有待改进的地方。这节课上,在教学节奏和教学时间的把握上出现了失误之处,没有留有足够的时间给学生去思考和练习。希望能在今后的学习中加以磨练和提高。
六:板书设计
 
Unit 2 Where is the Science Museum
You can go by the No.301 bus.           hospital  3 minutes  cinema          
Get off at the cinema.
Then walk straight for 3 minutes.
The hospital is on the left.            No.301 bus
